Kohl's I absolutely hate it. There plus size is grandma clothing only it seems ugh I'm 34 I want the cute in style stuff not the high water slacks and grandma blouses. I absolutely love shopping boutiques anymore bc they have cute in style clothing for all sizes for the most part

I walk into a Kohl's and it feels like I just walked back in time...like Sears when I was little. Torture.

100% totally agree! Ugly grandma clothes. My grandma wouldn’t wear those ugly clothes!

I’m recently a grandma, but I’ve been saying this for years! It’s all grandma-looking and has been for the past 20+ years! Now that I AM a Gma, I still hate that look! Don’t they realize we are already self-conscious and don’t need grumpy clothes to make it even worse!

Should say frumpy clothes, but hey, they make me grumpy too!😂

Yes! That section should be labeled Frumpy and Grumpy! 🤣 You know, just so we can steer clear and head straight for purses and shoes.

Girl, I feel this!! Kohls has nice clothes in the regular women's section. I have bounced back between regular sizes and plus size and I was soooo upset. Target is the same way. Nothing stylish - its just floral tents.

I believe Target is punishing "our size" girls but I also agree the designers are "designing" horrible clothes for plus size girls. Why can't we have the EXACT SAME think that the other sizes have? I don't want to look like a frump. I want cute trendy clothes (with sleeves to the elbow). So preach on Melissa. Thanks

This isn't just about plus sizes but a company with good customer service, which I believe is a lost art.

Over a year ago I saw a Facebook ad for shapewear that looked like it would help smooth out my fluff without being too uncomfortable so I ordered the "girdle" which I think they called bike shorts or something. I followed the size chart and ordered what I believed would be the best fit for me (yes, size with at least one X in it) along with a bra.

When they arrived, I couldn't get the darned thing past my knees. I did not feel like going through the whole return process so I considered it another lesson learned about ordering from a Facebook ad and tossed them.

Probably 8 months or so later I saw the ad again and I was looking at the comments and decided to put on my own .02 worth. I mean, why shouldn't I try to help someone else from making the same mistake.

A representative of that company asked me details about my order. I found the original email, but I also let her know I had tossed the product so I would not be returning anything and brought to her attention it had almost been a year since the original purchase.

They said it was ok, that they just wanted a satisfied customer. We chatted about the sizes and they ended up sending 2 (!) to replace the one that didn't fit.

This time it fit like a glove and it has become something I like to wear because it gives me confidence and it doesn't pinch and bind.

So often we are quick to bad mouth a company after a bad experience, but I also think it's important to prip them up when they do the right thing.

This product is Shapermint and I will be ordering from them again.

I wrote to Target a few years back about the size of their “fluffy” dept. Where it was located, lack of choices and pr choices at that and I too heard Nada-nothing!

I don't shop at Target. Every time I go in there, I walk out with nothing. Their selection in every department (except snacks that I don't need) sucks. I really don't know what it is that people see in their stores that they cannot live without. I prefer Walmart. Their clothes fit like they are supposed to. They may not be fancy, per se, but they are practical and affordable.

I don't like Walmart clothes because they are made so cheaply that after you wash them a few times, they fall apart.

At my advanced age, 70, I’ve long given up on finding places that cater to my size. I wear a 16 AND I’m 4’11”!! Very few stores that even carry nice Plus sizes also carry them in Petites. I have recently found that Chico carries Petites and they actually fit!! They are a bit pricey for my SS check, but if I catch a sale, then I buy.

Love all of your videos and posts!! Go fellow Texan.

CATO is my go to store. If I can’t find it there, I must not need it. I am a 2X and they have a lot in stock. I hate trying on clothes in the store because I have a fear of people watching me when I come out to look in the full length mirror. At CATO, there is someone in there but it’s the sales lady. If I don’t look good in something, I can tell by her facial expression. If I do, I can also tell be her facial expression. They know how to fit my body style and I never leave disappointed.

On the plus side (heh heh), HOORAY for an incredible company called Snag! They make tights and bike-shorts-type undergarments that truly, beautifully, comfortably fit people of size. And not just in hang-your-head, great-grandma colors, either. Snag shopping is sheer (or opaque) joy! Check them out. <3

The Meijer grocery store Is like a target or Wal-Mart in the products it carries. They have a large clothing department in mens ,womens, children and infants. What they do best is if you see something you like in the womens section they carry the item in sizes 2 to 3X even up to 5x. So if you see something cute in a size 8 you can probably find it your size same cute print and design.

Yes!!!! They can be pricey but if I like a design I can buy it! I do t have shop separate from everyone else! And unlike Walmart the clothes are true to size!

I found a business that specializes in pretty women’s clothing for hot, tropical places. I requested their catalog. Well, guess what? Apparently Lascana only feels that women sized 12 and lower should travel. Seriously? Us larger gals like to get out, too!

Cato Fashions make just about every article of clothing they sell in both Misses and Plus Size. Their Plus Size section of the store is almost as large, if not as large as the Misses size. It’s so refreshing!
