Hello, my lovelies! It’s Stretch Marks day and you know what that means?! That means we talk about allllllllll of the things that make-up being a woman. Men, hormones, nail polish, bad attitudes, fiery tempers, intelligence, purple shampoos, kids, getting enough sleep and multivitamins.
And can we talk about how expensive it is to be a well groomed woman? Haircut/color, nails, pedis, eyebrows, eyelash extensions, botox… and the list goes on and on!
for everyday.. "They're Real" Lengthening Mascara & primer, and "Roller Lash" for a more glam look... all by Benefit. (at Ulta) I actually had some old ladies in my church ask to pull on my lashes to see if they were real. I went and washed my mascara off, and reapplied to show them. Evidently they'd been arguing about and eyeballing my lashes for sometime. HAHA!!
Mascara has always been a hit and miss for me. I'm cheap and have a problem spending so much for it to "just try it". I have a draw of the stuff. However, I am considering paying an arm and leg for some extensions. Have you ever gotten any? All I know is I want them. Seriously, that's all I know about them. LOL I "might" try whichever one comes from this post, maybe.
I just spent an obscene amount of money at Ulta last weekend. I’m not a huge makeup person but my daughter is getting married and you know… photos… I needed some real good spackle for this hot mess of fine lines and wrinkles. Anyway, I didn’t get any lash primer. Is this a must??? The sales girl didn’t mention it to me so I assume I either don’t need it, or she was still hyperventilating over the huge sale she was fixing to get. Either way, what’s the deal with lash primer?
Allways start with a primer. I'm totally there with you. 😊 The one I use is from Dior. "Diorshow maximizer 3D" And the mascara I really love, is one from Helena Rubinstein called "Lash Queen". They make different ones. So you have to choose the one that fits your demands the best.
I know, they are a bit prizie, but they are really really good 😊
I have sensitive eyes and Thrive from Thrive cosmetics has been amazing. It’s pricier (unfortunately), but I love the length it gives, the intense lash look I can achieve without falsies and it comes off! I also wasn’t impressed with the Sky High mascara and trying to get it off was a trick without having raccoon eyes. A few others I’ve tried have just been okay (L’Oréal and Maybelline). I just recently tried Essence and I ended up with a small sty afterwards, so I definitely don’t recommend that brand if you have sensitive eyes. Also, I hope I don’t come off salesy even though I am an artist for Seint Beauty (please delete if not allowed). Mascara is the one thing we don’t sell, unfortunately. Reading some of the other comments (and even thinking about Remi) this is why I love Seint so much, because it’s perfect for all women (all ages, all skin tones, all skill set - the newbie to the minimalist to the makeup professional). One of the reasons I jumped in and became an artist was for my daughters…I’m thrilled I found Seint (formerly named Maskcara) because I would never want to give them any other makeup! The products are paraben free, gluten free, sulfate free, alcohol free and cruelty free. I color match my clients, all the makeup is in one convenient compact (no bottles, tubes, junk drawer full of products), it beautifully accentuates your own natural beauty as not to cover it up, looks like a second layer of skin (not flat or cakey), it’s fast and affordable! It’s so important to take care of our skin with good products and not break the bank. While I truly believe there is beauty in every face it’s also a wonderful feeling to actually feel just as beautiful!
