Do you want to know one of my all-time favorite things about summer? It’s the books that come out. That’s right. Going to Barnes and Noble, picking out a summer thriller that I can read on the beach and then coming home to find out that David Radke has once again nixed our summer beach trip because “this is what happens when we eat out too much,” has really become a rite of passage for me.
I just finished Greenlights.........Matthew McConaughey's new autobiography. Not only was it a good read, there are several pictures of him throughout the book...........icing on the cake! I hope you enjoy it if you read it. You are the BEST Melissa.........keep being you! XOXO
Anything and everything by Kristin Hannah but The Nightingale is one of my all time favorite books. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers is also one I have read numerous times.
I recently finished “The Girl with Seven Names” about a woman who defected from North Korea. It was a great autobiography! I also revelry finished “Saving My Assassin” about a lawyer in communist Romania and how she shared Jesus with the man who was hired to kill her.
I’m looking forward to reading your suggestion about IF! Thanks. I started diligently last year on June 1, after watching the docu series “Proven,” to lose weight. I love IF, and have lost 40 pounds so far. But one can never be too informed. I’m into a historical fiction series about 8th century Viking doings. The Circle of Ceridwen is the first, but the 8 th book is out on June 30, and fans are on pins and needles trying to wait.
Right now I am starting the latest one by my all-time favorite author, Elizabeth Berg. She writes easy reading, feel-good fiction stories, many that focus on hilarious relationships between the women in the main character's life. Talk Before Sleep was the first one I read. After that one, I was hooked on her.
Shauna Niequiest. Cold Tangerines. I read it two years ago recovering from major neck surgery. I read it every summer. Funny but enlightening. Try it. Also oldie but goodie -White Oleander
Anything by Elin Hilderbrand makes for a great summer read! All of her novels are set in Nantucket. I also love Sophie Kinsella in the summer. Her books are typically light and easy to breeze through. 😊
To whoever recommended Elizabeth Berg, thank you very much! You were right about her style, and the fact that her writing is interesting, some thought-provoking questions come up, but at the same time, it is not heavy, depressing, or a thesaurus junky’s nightmare. Not that I don’t love books like those, but for this particular time in my life, I am grateful for the recommendation. 👌🏼💜
I am reading Every Breath by Nicolas Sparks, take in mind I'm only on chapter 3 but I am already hooked. I too really enjoyed reading Where The Crawdads Sing, the twists and turns kept me turning each page. Enjoy your summer reading.

This Tender Land was my last book club read. I would not have selected it for myself, but it has been the best book I’ve read all year.
The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
My go to recommendation is The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena. Everyone loved it!!
Healing Ruby by Jennifer Westall is fantastic!
All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood

How To Do The Work by Dr. Nicole Leapers (The Holistic Psychologist). 👍🏼
