Melissa I’m reading this on the stationary bike at my church gym. Haven’t exercised since Bush was in office, I’ll let you guess which one. But I went to my doctor yesterday and felt like I needed to just go ahead and plan my funeral so I gotta do something. Thanks for the honesty and the info.

I'M PROUD OF YOU! I, like you, struggle with dropping the weight. I've made progress, but I'm not where I want to be. The key is to keep going and to try new things. When I was younger I would go to the gym for a couple of hours several times a week. I don't have that kind of time anymore and, if I'm being honest, I don't want to spend my time there. I'd rather have the flexibility of something like Open Fit (I might drop my Beachbody and make the switch) where I can mix it up. Like you said, if I'm at least moving then I'm making progress right? Working out, dieting, fitness etc is not a one size fits all. You have to find what works best for you. Keep going and just know you've got a community of people out here cheering you on. Much love! - Michelle

You described my workout to the T. My body aches all the time but walking daily--moving more seems to really help. It's what motivates me MOST days. But it's sooooooooooo freaking HOT, I really just can't do it. I'm gonna check out the app and see how much motivation it will give me. If only we lived closer to each other---we could drag each other outside and talk about ALL the things besides the budget! HAHA! Keep it up--and there is NO doubt that it will help way more than it could hurt (anymore than does now)! Love ya!

HA HA I feel ya !! After 3 babies and a hysterectomy but Before cancer I had gained 30 lbs. I decided to join a gym. Not the "I'm hunting for a date" gym but a guy gym where they go to actually work out and sweat. I figured if I was going to be miserable I was gonna look at beefcake while I did it. All I can say is DAAAMMMN HA HA I had a trainer and he taught me and pushed me. I had terrible adhesions from my surgery so he put me on an incline board doing sit ups. That first 3 wks I felt like a truck ran over me and backed up twice! But I stuck it out and in a few months I didn't hurt anymore, I started to go through gym withdrawal on the weekends. I would work out for 2 hours a day 4 days a week. After a year I had lost that 30 lbs, My body was sculpted and the trainer asked if I wanted to enter the body building contest.. Well that was a HARD PASS for sure but it was nice knowing I could. Fast forward to 60 and I am seriously overweight by 60 lbs. I am now (through my Dr) enrolled in a program called Script for Fitness. The trainer is also a physical therapist so she is going to keep me from re-injuring myself and help me get in better shape. Since chemo it has been really hard to keep weight off. Most people lose weight. I lost 5 lbs. When I stood on the scale I was so excited and then the nurse said "Honey this isn't Jenney Craig". Hey weight loss is weight loss! So I feel your struggle and just know I will be in pain with you. I am going to try "Chair Yoga" its for people who can't get up off the floor! LOL
