My grandmother used to make an awesome mac and cheese. She is gone now but my sister makes a some what comparable version. Any time that any of us make it, my family asks if it is going in the oven with Ritz crackers (instead of the crock pot) because that is the way that my grandmother used to make it.

We had Pea Salad at most family gatherings when I was growing up- I love it but my kiddos do not LOL

The thing that has to be fixed at every gathering now is pasta and meatballs- but I also know that I will never make them as good as my mother-in-love!!

My grandmothers and mother always made these. I don’t usually make the pea salad, not very fond of peas lol Thank you for sharing, brought back some sweet memories of the ladies in our family. 💚🌸

My family has always had ambrosia salad and I love it! It just wouldn't be Easter without it. I am definitely making the pea salad with bacon. That looks delicious! I have seen that at larger family gatherings but never tried it. Thank you!

Didn't know about the Ambrosia salad - but am definitely going to try it! I think I have had pea salad in the past and wasn't a big fan, but your recipe sounds easy enough that I'll give it a try. Thanks for the receipes!

we call it english pea salad and fruit salad. we use cream cheese tinted pink with a little maraschino cherry juice instead of cool whip for the fruit salad. classics on the holiday table growing up.
