My little 12" tree and a few decorations will go up a week before Christmas. I enjoy looking at others decorations but at my age it is something I don't miss. No little ones visiting or family so we stopped a few years ago. It took me awhile to realize that is OK too!

I love to put up the decorations the week before Thanksgiving. That way it’s all done before the holiday festivities begin and I can enjoy every little memory that comes with all of it for just a little bit longer. πŸ˜ŠπŸŽ„

I use to put my tree up on Thanksgiving day for my kids. The last few years depression set in, a new toxic boyfriend and drug addiction took over. Last year two weeks before Christmas I had a overdose. My goal is to try to purchase a tree and some new ornaments in the next few weeks. The lights and decorations makes me happy and relaxed. Hope you all have a Blessed Holiday season

Mine is still up!… Because a I had not had one up for the last four years and Christmas is my favorite holiday and I got a volunteer to go up in the attic and bring down the 10,000 things that are Christmas.

Secondly, I did NOT have a volunteer to help me put it back up in the attic! No, I do not turn the lights on the course. I mean how insane would that be? LOL

Black Friday the tree goes up. 😊 I do get the need to put it up sooner as the tree does have a magical element about it.

We added two kitties to our family last year and let’s just say I’ve never put my tree away so fast, Christmas morning after presents y’all! I couldn’t handle it anymore πŸ™ˆ πŸ˜† So the tree will be going up late this year for the first time ever πŸ˜‚ We’ll see how long it stays up.

The week before Thanksgiving, because I don’t host Thanksgiving and we love it so! Maybe for all the reasons you have said❀️ when my son was little we left it up until after his birthday January 11, the best memories!!

Our local Chick-fil-A is already decked out to include a big Merry Christmas sign in lights. I am itching to put my inside decor up now and probably will start soon. But our outside will remain fall. We have a large inflatable turkey we always put in our yard until the day after Thanksgiving.

I put mine up within the 1st week or so in December … it’s always a real live tree so I need it to last. Also I find I β€˜need’ my tree up more the week or 2 after Christmas rather than earlier than 12/1

On Thanksgiving day. It's been a family tradition since I was a young child.

I started putting my decorations up on Monday. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and the decorations make me so happy. Yes, it's a hastle to get it all out, but this way I get to enjoy it the longest!

I 100% agree. If it makes you happy, less lonely and fill your heart with warmth, do it. I'm considering putting my tree up early so I feel less stressed about getting it done right after Thanksgiving.

I won't be putting one up this year because I can't afford it. I moved across country to help my 85 year old mother and I am not getting any income coming in yet. So things are a little tight. Maybe next year but if I had one it would be going up this weekend.

I had to buy a new tree yesterday because I got really mad at mine last year and put it on the curb. Surely someone will love it, just not me. Anyway, my new one, while beautiful, won’t go up until the weekend after thanksgiving.
