The Conditions of Will was not a book I was planning on reading at all. I had heard a couple of people on Book Tok raving about it, but look at that cover. If a picture speaks a thousand words, this picture said “this book gon’ be weird.” But it was offered on my Kindle Unlimited and I decided to just read one chapter and see. One of my most recent favorites! I love family drama and well thought out characters with big personalities. I love a little intrigue and I love a smartalec protagonist. If you do, too, then look this one up. What a fun summer read!
These cargo pants from Amazon get absolutely everything right. Not too thick, not too thin, completely breathable, go with everything, never wrinkle and beyond comfortable. I bought them in this color, but if you think black and khaki are not already in my cart you’d be wrong. I wear them probably four times a week. No lie!
The Let Them book from Mel Robbins has been at the top of the charts for quite some time and honestly I just had to see what all the fuss was about. What I found was the most simple, easy, readable, life-changing theory EVER. They went without you? Let them. They don’t text you back? Let them. They chose someone else? Let them. There is great advice to back this up, and when I began to put it into practice in my own life - it was beyond freeing. Maybe you need to give this a second look!
If it’s clean, entertaining and we can watch it with our whole family - it’s a win for us. And this one is just too fun. We knew nothing about Justin Willman or even this show, but those mentalist people always intrigue me. We sat down to watch the first few minutes and all four of us never moved until it was over. It was a family favorite and I’ve recommended to so many people since then. Check out Magic Lover on Netflix!
To be honest, I had no desire to see this in the theatres so I waited for it to come out on Peacock. But then when it came out, David had no desire to watch it with me. I told him it had gotten really great reviews but he said to watch it without him. So I did. I started it one night and instead of going back to the bedroom to watch the Astros, he finished the whole thing with me. This is a completely true story and it is astounding! I still think about it from time to time. What a clean, inspiring, moving story told in a family friendly way. Totally worth a watch. You can find Last Breath on Peacock.
Do not be mistaken. This Venetian Self Tanning Mist is for your face and neck. I am on my fourth bottle now and I adore it. I saw a woman on TikTok say that she sets her makeup with it. Now, I don’t know about that - but I do use it religiously on my face during the summer months because I’m a hat wearer in the sun. This mist just comes out evenly, not too dark and has always worked wonders for me.
Smoke has gotten many great reviews but that I could not imagine would be interesting. Arson? I’m just not a Chicago Fire kind of girl. But I do looooove me some AppleTV. They always have the best shows to me. Plus, David and I have loved Taron Egerton since Blackbird. (Have you seen that one yet? WATCH IT!) Some of the reviewers said to be sure and watch this one to the end of the second episode because then it really picks up. They. Were. Not. Wrong.
I really wanted to love the book Let Them, I even pre-ordered it as I was already following on her TikTok. But then I read, in multiple places (with proof) that she stole the idea/concept from a much much smaller creator. She then didn’t deny it but doubled down and said no one can steal an idea — also, she’s a lawyer….I don’t know, just didn’t sit right with me.
I want to know if these baggy pants you keep highlighting are really flattering on a “thick” girl?
