Well Girlfriend I am hear to tell you that I sympathise with you. I myself have an Anal Fisher that has been my constant companion for at LEAST 20 years!.I have had THE surgery, a few different prescriptions, & it refuses to take leave of it's hallowed abode! I am tired of the cocktails of Metamucil, & Miralax. Actually if I'm being perfectly honest, I look forward to one or the other every day. And I thought I saw the last of blood down there with the completion of MENopause! And don't get me started about the pain.It outshines childbirth! My almost nightly prayers to God are Thanksgivings of not passing out from the pain or that I was able to unclog my own toilet. So when I say I sympathize with you I mean it from the bottom of my bottom! God bless you & your family, & keep up being you!🌹

I have had constipation issues all of my life. Then I got pregnant and that made things worse. I've been to the doctor and unfortunately things are so bad there is no way I can have surgery. I've reduced and added things into my diet and things have improved. I really feel that probiotics have been a godsend. I wish you all the best and thank you for your courage to share this topic.

My husband had an anal fissure while I was having our first child, 22 years ago. He would sit on a cold can of pop while driving to try and relieve some of the pain. He had surgery when our daughter was about a month old. No problems since.

I’m just going to say this one time. That recovery for the surgery is no joke. Like sweet Patty below, whom I’ve never met said, they give you an epidural and numb you with something that will only last a few days. After that, you should know that you will never be the same. I begged the Lord not to make me ever use the bathroom again, but alas, He did not answer that prayer as I would have liked, and here I am 6 months later, and I still fear using the bathroom. No matter how you prep yourself, you’ll never be really for that follow up appointment either, regardless of how kind and Godly your dr is. That’s an area no man, no matter his expertise, needs to go back into, even if to just “check around”.

I have been through this surgery and all the issues you mentioned. One thing to know is that when the surgery is one they numb the area. That numbing lasts a couple days. So for 1 or 2 days it will be numb and you will have no control so be sure to have pads or depends on hand. It is sore for a while... several days at least. However...after a few weeks when there is no pain at all. You will go to the store and shop....then you will realize you do not have to worry about break through 🩸🩸🩸 bleeding. You realize you can wear a dress and not worry about a blood spot. You start to feel free. It is truely wonderful. You will be so glad you had the procedure.

It’s the worst pain I’ve ever experienced! I tried all the rx meds with no relief. I talked to my dr about surgery but they say it may not fix it all the way. I actually found EmuAid (you can get it on Amazon and bonus- it’s natural!) and it worked amazingly! Any time I have a small flare up from ibs I use it and it works almost immediately! Hope this helps someone!!!

I had issues my only time on keto ... Six weeks of hell. So sorry to hear of your pain. I imagine recovery and healing will take time as well. It is hard when our bodies betray us. Thank you for your courage in sharing. My prayers are with you. Happy Easter!

My husband has dealt with them twice. The first time, when the doctor realized what it was, he sent him straight to a general surgeon that day. The surgeon put him in front of all his other appointments, took him straight in an exam room and gave him a pain shot. He called the hospital, and, sent us straight to there for admittance bypassing the emergency room. They kept him comfortable pain wise until surgery that afternoon, as soon as the surgeon could get there. He spent a couple of nights in the hospital over that first one. My hubs is a big strapping hard working man who has always been able to handle pain. This took him to his knees. I have all compassion for anyone, woman or man, who has to deal with this issue.

I'm sitting here in years. I know the feeling all too well. I've had my nightmare anal fistula for 11 years. I'm stuck with it because I don't have any health insurance. I can't go swimming in a pool or at the beach. I'm tired of the pain and at one point it became infected that left me in the hospital with cellulitis. I hate this. I wouldn't even wish it on my worst enemy. 😢 And reading the other comments saying that theirs came back made me even more hopeless. 😭

🙋🏻‍♀️ I just had the surgery in December. I can’t believe how f*cking painful it was and I let it go for 9 months. Thank you for this because I literally tried to tell myself it wasn’t as bad it was. Unbelievable. I can poop with out crying now!

Signed ~ Grateful

I had this same thing (anal fissure) happen to me in May 2017!!!!! It was the most painful thing ever!!! I’ve had 2 kids both c-sections and never had the dreaded hemorriods until I started a high protein diet and my fault wasn’t consuming enough water 🤦🏼‍♀️ It took months for mine to heal and I’ve been very careful since then about not letting that happen again. I pray your surgery goes well and you get relief.it’s literally a pain in the a$$ 😜

Crohn's Disease for 20+ years over here - I have suffered from 6 rectal fistula's. I was also teaching 5th grade at the time.....so that was fun! Being in front of the class and the kids never knowing what was going on within me. Frustrating, painful, exhausting. Thank you for sharing this!

I don’t think I’ve ever had an anal fissure but I did have a hemorrhoid so big that it had it’s on heartbeat. I finally had to swallow my pride and go to the doctor when I could no longer sit but had to lay on my stomach. Turns out my hemorrhoid had not one, not two, but three blood clots that had to be cut out. So, under local anesthetic my doctor cut these blood clots out and told me I was good to go. I was numb so I felt no pain. It didn’t even cross my mind to think about what would happen when the anesthesia wore off! Not good🤬

Preach it, sister! I have never met a woman who has had one (or admitted they've had one. ) I am 58 yrs. old. When I was 23, before childbirth, I had an anal fissure. I would have to strip naked, sit a fan on the counter pointed at me, to poop without passing out. I finally went to the doctor. I was so horrified that he'd think I'd had something go "in" there instead of "out." And NOTHING had ever gone in! I told him if he touched it, I'd probably kick him like a mule. Long story short, they did a quick procedure and snipped the sphincter muscle so it wouldn't spasm (which is what causes the pain and keeps it from healing). In two days, I was pain free!! A miracle. It's a quick and easy fix. Now in old age I'll admit maybe the door doesn't close as tightly as it once did, but nothing else is working at 100%, either. Good luck.

First time in my life, I'm a witch but please don't burn me (I'm a delicate flower). Thank you, Jesus for not giving me any of these (I can't even Google it). I'm knocking so hard on wood right now, I can't even tell ya!!! Praying for you to get some relief SOONER than later.
